Is the 260 tach the same as a 280? (I thought it was just the 240's that were different) If so, I can go look at my 280 and get you the wire colour/locations. Im running a zx dizzy as well. I had evrything discombooberated and had to figure out all the wiring when I got my car done this past spring.. IIRC, I just ran a jumper wire from the + batt and touched the wires (there's likt 5 in a bunch by the coil) till the tach jumped.

Your 260Z tach needs a “trigger” connection to the negative side terminal of the ignition coil. This is done via the solid blue colored wire that was part of the 260Z’s ignition coil wiring harness. Check for this.

BTW, what coil are you using? 260Z or the ZX one?
