Dead Roman
Sure i was in the rain but who cares? So i have heard mixed opinions about how3 the 240z drifts. I have heard that the stearing isnt quick enough the f/r balance isnt right and the thing is just down right hard to get sideways. Well, it rained for about 45 mintes today and i know of a pig open patch of particularly slippery pavement to test this theory out on. I am by no means some god of a driver but i consider myself to be a fairly experienced racer in many senses of the word(drag, circut racing, some rally) so i think my view is subjective though i have enough experience to be able to make an educated statement. So i must say for me, the 240z is a very capable drifter. It wasnt to hard to get sideways and once it WAS sideways it seemed to want to stay that way,. I felt very much in control when doing circles, 180sand some high speed (over 40) sweeping 180 degree turns. In transitions from left to right and vica versa i could see where the stok steering would be a problem for a weaker fellow but at 5,11 175 lbs im a pretty average sized guy and it was only mildly uncomfortable for me. Al in all i believe trhis car is absoloutly capable of drifting and i intend to prove so in some future pics/vids. P.s I know a few guys on here are considering going drifting in thier z's so thats the only reason i posted my experience.
datsunlover
Yah man, I'v recently discovered that my 75 is quite capable of drifting.. I thought that my car was a bit to under powered and 'beat up' to atemt anything like that, but wow was I wrong! From a stand still (not so good for the clutch, I know ) I can light em' up, and just go slideways as long as I want.. I was doing some figure 8's last week, and I don't find it too much of a pain to change directions.. I find the z is actually a fairly 'forgiving' car to throw around.. Fun stuff! JustAFantaZ
I'll never get into the drifting fad. Tire tread is precious.

WickedWild
Every Winter I always take the Z out for the first snow fall before the plow/SALT trucks make it out. Last winter I hit the local high school for some fun, and hour and 3/4 tank of gas later I left. Had an audiance of 5 cars by then. That is the highlight of my winter.
