zgeezer
Well actually you can swap an LT1 intake onto a small block chevy. Take a look at lt1intake.com Requires some work, but looks good. gw
Mike C
I thought about posting that as well zgeezer, but I read and re-read his post and couldn't tell which way he was going!
Sumo
How about this, can you just forget the FI and go carb on the LT-1?
Guest Anonymous
that seems like you would be going backwards. I think the heads are the same pattern as a standard manifold like a performer or somthing arn't they? just my .
Guest Drewz
Yes they do make manifolds for crossing over.
Guest Bob L
You may want to check out the TPIS miniram2; it works with the normal small block heads and is very similar to the LT1 intake. The only downside is that it's expensive, around $1K www.tpis.com
Mike C
I bought a carbureted intake for my LT1. I actually have two LT1s, but only enough parts to FI one. I plan on getting my car running with the carb and fuel inject it later. Then I'll use the carb intake on the second motor. In 1997 GM built a couple of 302 ci LT1. One in a replica 1967 Z/28 with the carbureted intake and one in a 1997 Z/28 with FI. Both cars had T56. Don't remember the exact details, but the carbureted car made nearly 50hp MORE than the FI car.
Mudge
Its been done, I think www.lt1intake.com is the site, may be costly though. Basically they just machine the rear of the intake for the distributor, I dont think there is anything complex other than the accuracy. The LT1 heads have also been used on SBC before, and SBC heads been moved to LT1, with machine work of course in both cases.

It would be nice to know if that was RPM or what, because past 7k the stock PCM basically wont run, there are always reports of ringers doing 7100/7200 but who knows.
