Now the problem, The engine has a stock gm harmonic balancer on it. I want to change to an sfi approved balancer, possibly a fluid dampener. Are the balancers typically weighted differently? Could I take the balancers to a machine shop and have them balanced to match? Or, will I have to have the entire rotating assembly rebalanced? I`ve never had this dilema before. I just didn`t want to tear the whole thing down if I didn`t have to. As it sits, all it needs to run is a the carb and distributor.
