SBC_400
what is the deal with getting one of those transmissions fixed. I have a friend that works for a dealership, and he said that when a car comes in with trans problems, (gm 6 spds) they are not alowed to open it at all, they have to send it right back to the manufacturer. Tim240z
From what I know, that only applies to the ZF-6. The BW-6 is dealer serviceable. When I bought my Z28, the PO (who I know well) said that the earlier T56s had main bearing issues and when he took it to the dealership to have the clutch replaced, they did the bearing upgrade at the same time. datsunan
Hey Tim do you know if you can swap bw bell housings in order to get that 6spd onto a L28?
Tim240z
I know this has come up before, but I can't remember the outcome. I seem to remember that it was very difficult.....not sure. Keep in mind, this one (1999) would be an LS1's T56.
datsunan
Yeh I knew it was for newer LS1's, I'm starting to look into some way to get a stronger drivetrane set up and a 6 spd would be sweet.
