v80z
Well CONGRATULATIONS to Clarkspeed and good luck in racing. Clarkspeed Purchased my car and I took his roller in trade. His car is very well prepped and I am very happy with the deal. Also Many thanks to Doug Carrow for coming by and helping out. MY first Question. Did everyone reroute the brake and fuel lines like in the JTR MAnual?[/img]
Synlubes
Joe, I had my camera in the truck and forgot to get some pic`s. Thought about it as I left your house. Damn Z cars
Mikelly
Joe, If it is a real roller, I'd certainly replace the fuel lines with something more significant, and I'd replace all the brake valving in the engine compartment. Check the rest for corrosion and if they are in good shape then leave them. If not, Let me know and I can get you NEW replacements at reasonable prices. It will keep the metrics the same and the pre-bent lines are one less thing to deal with! Mike 8)
v80z
I will replace the fuel line. The brake lines are in good condition. they are race proven. The JTR manual mentions relocating these due to the heat from the V8. Does the relocation need to be done?
Mikelly
I didn't notice issues with heat on brake lines with my 383 Stroker... But you could always run a DEI Sleeve if you have issues... Doug said you made out real well with the trade! Mike
v80z
I think I made out good. I hope Clarkspeed feels the same. At least my wife was pleased. I sent you a mail about some pieces I am looking at. Want your opinion.
Dan Juday
I rerouted my brake lines AND wrapped them with some heat reflective tape. Depending on the type of headers you use they can get really close to the brake lines on the passenger side.
