Tried a search Know one seemed to talk about them I've seen a few sold at a good price, and wondered if they'd be O.K. In a Z? They are based on the LS1 aren't they? Try to get a Camaro camshaft used as you probably (at least I can't) afford an aftermarket one at ~$500-for JUST the cam. Be careful, as there is a 4.8 version of the V8 as well. Although it might make for an excellent daily driver swap. I would be most inclinded to do the 5.3 and it is probably the easiest to find/cheapest to buy. You will be stuck with an automatic however, as the truck manuals are just too big, and IMO, the T56 for an LS1 just too $. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

staledale Posted February 14, 2003 Author Share Posted February 14, 2003 On e-Bay two days ago was a 6.0 that was buy it now $950, It didn't last long. Now there is one at $850 n/r right now under engines complete. They come up at a good deal and good away as fast. My 500ci cad was bought for $235 and should be easier to put in.
