Greg SmileZ
I've searched and don't see any discussion here of the various headlights that will work with Zs....I have a 1977 280Z. I've converted my headlight wiring harness to use a relay, but now I want to upgrade the headlights. Has anyone purchased any of the headlights or headlight kits from: Anyone on eBay? Too Intense Restoration? H4 Lights? Motorsport Auto (zcarparts.com) Victoria British? Comments about any of them, good, bad, expensive, cheap, etc? Thanks - Greg
Hugh
I like the "Diamond Cut H4" assemblies from ebay. They are cheap and VERY bright. I'm using Raybrigs now, but they're designed for RHD, and thats not cool. They are, however, very bright.

Miles
Greg I have the exact same question as I am installing a new headlight relay harness. Miles

spotfitz
Future installation suggest I get in on this post. I've been eyeballing all of these aswell. Does anyone have recommendation? I have been considering the Too Intense Restoration lights, but haven't heard of anyone using them.
spotfitz
Ok, this is the second double post I've had today. I'll be posting in the site support forum.
Hugh
The diamond cut lights I'm talking about are made by Toucan, if that helps anyone. Great product for cheap, really. The comparison between those and sealed beams is literally like night and day.
Guest rick458
what about the Sylvania Silver Stars?
240Z2NV
I got the Sylvania Silver Stars on promotion direct from them. Won't be installing til next year, however, so I can't comment. I missed their Xenarc HID promotion; but, mas280 got them and they are NICE (noisy though). By the time I get the hybrid completed, there will probably be many HID kits out there..... Hugh
You mean the sealed beam replacements? No. I'd definitely go to an H4 conversion... and then you can run the Silver Star H4 bulbs in them if you wish.
Greg SmileZ
Spotfitz, I've also been looking at the Too Intense headlights, along with Motorsports....I'm heading to CA in a couple weeks, and plan to visit both Too Intense, and Motorsports to look at their products. I'll let you know what I see/find out.... Greg
MY260Z
I use the H4 kit from Too Intense. I took the headlight unit out of the fender, put it on a drill press and cut a 3" hole out of the back. That way I can replace the bulb easier. The plastic flap on the inner fender keeps the mud out. While I was at it I replaced the aligning screws and plastic inserts. They are a lot brighter than stock.
