violacleff
I have an ACT 6 puck cluth on a 280z 5 speed. When the car is off it will go into gear, but when its on, you can't get it into first to save its life. What did I do wrong? BTW i have the msa short shift kit if it matters at all. Guest Magnum Rockwilder
You need to adjust it. It's not fully disengaging because the new disc is thicker.
v80z
I was not running the ACT clutch but I did run another brand of race clutch. I had to buy a slave cylinder from a 71 z. It has an adjustable throw. This was the only way I could get mine to work.
JMortensen
Yeah, try the adjustment between the pedal and the back of the master. You want about 1/8" to 3/16" free play. If that doesn't fix it try replacing the clutch master and slave. When I put my ACT pp on my slave lasted 3 days. Could be yours was ready to go, then you added the heavier plate and blew it out. I'm thinking you should be able to make it work without the adjustable slave. I went that route too, but out of preference not necessity.
