slownrusty
I assume you mean an Electronic Boost Controller? As a manual boost controller goes inline on the rubber line out of the internal wastegate Yasin
HeatRaveR
If you increase the boost, wouldn't that make you run lean? Or is the 20+year old ECU able to compensate to a certain point?
Z-Gad
The fuel pressure regulator is vacuum/boost sourced and will compensate for mild boost pressure changes.
badjuju
I'm running about 7.5 psi now, instead of the 4 I was prior to the boost controller. Thanks guys. At about 3300 rpm, my injectors start wavering, you can feel the acceleration slow then speed up a couple times, but after that it's like a friggin rocket, and then at about 5k it dropps off. Also, a couple times the other night when I was driving, a plume of smoke popped out of my exhaust while I was gunning it. Any explanation? I think I'm just running way too lean and I backfired. I could feel the backfire, but as for hearing it, my stereo was on.
proxlamus©
Exhuast backfire is a RICH condition Intake backfire and stuttering is a LEAN condition
