My Future Toy (Motorcycle)

I know there are alot of riders here so I thought I would show off what I want to do in the future (1 year). It doesn't have gobs of horsepower and it's definately NOT exotic... but it's cool none-the-less (to me!). I've always liked naked bikes... I just don't want to spend the money on say... a Speed Tripple!

These bikes are 'Streetfighter' versions of the Suzuki Bandit.

Guy I ride with regularly had a sweet 1998 Bandit 1200 Streetfighter he sold on Ebay... Bike was a beast... NIce platform.. I've thought about taking my ZX9R and turning it into one, but I track it and the body work helps with aerodynamics. So I guess I'll leave it alone!

Pretty sweet looking, i like the bikes without farings(spelling?) better too. Ive never ridden, but im looking to buy a bike soon and was thinking of starting out on an sv650, standard version. Maybe when i can handle it ill move up to a bandit =).

When I was looking at selling my ZX9R I was considering replacing it with a.... SV650.

Lots of experienced riders move to smaller, less powerful bikes on the race track to help them focus on becoming a faster rider. With a less powerful bike, you become forced to carry more entry and exit speed in the corners, making you MUCH smoother and faster in the long run!

SV650 is an AWESOME ride!

got a naked bike-yamaha fz1.had to put ivan's jet kit and a pipe on it to make it healthy though.stock it would lean surge at 55 mph in 6th.it dynoed at 130 hp .since it was $3000 less than an r1 and i dont like riding bent over i am happy.stock tires not good.got metzler z6 on both ends-very good tires.then i put on a -1 tooth front sprocket.loosened up the suspension some because the roads around here arent smooth.bike works great now.got it for $7200 + tax & license new.

If you want the Bandit (600) just get it. There's no big difference between it and the SV650. The SV has a smoother powerband from what I understand. I started on a 600 Bandit, keep the rpm's down and you'll be fine. They're also cheaper than the SV. My little bro's selling his... (it used to be mine).
