Guest greimann
Ditto what Tim said, call animal control right away. Don't mess with them gang bangers yourself and get mixed up in something bad.

blueovalz
Sad! As intelligent as we are as a species, it still amazes me how we still have the capacity treat each other, and animals so poorly. SPCA will find a more humane enviroment for that dog. Good luck.
BLKMGK
I work with a rescue myself - macspro.org - for a different breed. We get dogs from all over the place that have been abused and more than once breeders have been shut down by Sheriff's offices and the dogs removed from the premises. Run, don't walk, to the nearest phone and get that puppy some help! It could be worse, they aren't feeding it BBs and gunpowder like one of my rescued pups but if they decide to fight the dog they may begin to abuse it like that. You might also want to try and find a Pit rescue nearby and let them know what's going on. It's unfortunate but some shelters have an early kill policy for certain breeds like Pits and Shar-Pei even though the dogs are perfectly fine if treated well Seriously, get the dog some help and you'll feel much better. Living in those conditions is a real tragedy
David K
i emailed the SPCA-LA and they said they will come take a look at the dog in the next day or so. i really hope they do. also, i hope the owners get fined. i will know if the spca comes out because they only have my address and they will come right here. Guest Anonymous
Be careful of that situation. There maybe a little farming in that home since they do not come arouind often.
Guest Anonymous
I can't take people treating animals like that, dogs particularly, they give you unconditional love and people treat them like that. Some people are put off by pit bulls, but they're great dogs when treated right and raised with a firm hand and not allowed to get near strangers (they do tend to be very protective of they're family, that in lies the trouble, people get to ignoring that fact and people make the wrong move and get bit). But anyway, bless you for giving it water and looking out for it, apparently the owner is to stupid to do so. They should chain the owner up (I'll even let them use my backyard here in Tempe) with no water or food with a wet leather collar here and see how he likes that, or better yet a van with no back windows or door handles and put him here or like the mojave at hottest time of the day and let the bastard die. Cruelty to animals is a sure way to get a ass whipping if I see it, that I can tell you. Regards, Lone
David K
there is this house on the other street behind us and they have this puppy pit bull. the thing cries and cries and cries. there is nobody living in the house. they come every now and then to work on the house. the dog constantly cries and cries. when they are there, they tell it to shut up. The dog NEVER has water or food. it is chained up to a 2foot chain and it cant get in the shade. the dogs collar is on so tight that its skin is getting raw, and it is starting to bleed. So my girlfriends cousin and i decided to give it some water and food. we lowered a dish of water over and it drank it empty 4 times. i need help here guys. this is some sad $hit! does anyone want this poor dog? its not mean yet, but it will get mean if they keep it like this. we can prop the gates open or something so they think it escaped. who can i call to help me? im doing something about this right now asap. the owners are mexican gangbangers. looks like they fall into the stereotypical aholes that think they need a pit bull to be cool. here are some pics of the dog and its living conditions. the entire house in the backyard and the frontyard is secure. The frontyard is 100% locked down, so it is impossible for the dog to get out. So why must they chain the poor thing up like this?
Tim240z
Call the SPCA...that's the absolute best thing to do at this point. If they can track down the owners, they are in for some trouble from the Sheriffs. Tim
Mike kZ
Get with a local Humaine Society, or PETA, some of their members are a bit ratical, and will just jump the fence to save the dog and get it a new home. The SPCA has to abide by the law, and will not take the dog unless ribs are showing and it's about to die. It does have shelter (dog house) and looks well fed, so I'm not sure what the SPCA can do. VRJoe
Let us know how it turns out. The SPCA has the law on their side. They can get people thown in jail for abuse. IF the police find other stuff while helping the SPCA all the better to put them away with -VRJoe
