seth
I am wanting to bring my stock l28 flywheel to the machinist this week... And before I do I would like to just confirm the info that i have found from my searching, - The stock flywheel can be cut down to 17-15 LBS with out worries - And that mass is removed from the back side of the flywheel (Anyone with pictures would be super) Thanks for the time. I couldn't find a thread on exactly where this mass is removed from, so I figured that I would ask.
JMortensen
Remove it from the backside and from the outer edge of the flywheel and that will make the biggest difference.
zcarnut
If you are using a 225mm clutch then get a 1981-84 Maxima L-series flywheel. It's already 17.5 lbs stock. And it's very easy to remove two pounds from the outer edge of the Maxima flywheel.
