Guest ON3GO
Over the next few weeks ill be updating this thread as more and more work gets done to it. this whole job is being done by Hybridz members.. Me and Ed ... Ed is in charge though Alot of work is ahead of us but its gonna look awesome when its done. plus a few little things we are doing will make it stand out even more! Start... had alittle exhaust leak lol. paint and everything comes tomorrow, the car is now at Eds house, the engine bay has been stripped, the interior will be done next. all the sound deadning will be taken out and some fiberglass work will be done inside the rear hatch area. Car will be running no carpet and have that real race car feel and look. im pricing out roll cages now and a few other things. Engine, well the head is at the machine shop as they messed up on the valves and they will be fixing everything free. engine parts and a few other things will be then brought to Dead Roman on this site for some powdercoating. Springs and new struts will be installed when the undercoating is finished and suspension parts are detailed and painted. then once its all done the engine goes in with a freash 280zx n/a 5-speed as mine is in bad shape. Microtech gets installed. Tune it and get it ready for the Houston D1 drift event. its gonna be hard work but well worth it! want to say thanks to Ed for being a good friend and helping me out on this. Also want to say thanks to Racer X and the other creative paint/body guys who have given me ideas to work with and useful info! big thanks! mike

cygnusx1
Did you get the microtech through Alex and which microtech did you use? Let me know how you like it and how easy it is to work with. I plan on going that route for next winters project. Nice job on the car! Drift carefully.
Nismo280zEd
Mike... I took some baseline pics of the car before I started takn' anything off. I already started takn' things off stripn' down the chassis. finished up that body work left on mine the other day so it's all good for the rain now. lol. About to go out and start grinding things down to prep for welding. Yeah.. the rust patch on the rocker panel... pretty bad were gonna have to fab up new sheet metal for that. Other than that I haven't found any other areas of concern yet. -Ed

Guest ON3GO
ya i figured that the BMW LSB is gonna be a nice blue for a Z, plus the grey will make it pop. it will go with the old mesh wheels that are black and also the blue sparco seat i have. im looking for a nice non vented hood for it right now, hit me up if anybody of you guys has one that wants to let go of it. also im looking for a half 280Z dash cap and a BRE or 432R wing. mike
