Mike C Posted June 29, 2005 Share Posted June 29, 2005 The LS motors have pressed on crank pulleys with no bolt. Seems GM had this same problem in the 60's with the SBC and added a balancer bolt. dr_hunt Posted June 29, 2005 Share Posted June 29, 2005 some of the early sbc's had pressed on harmonic balancers, didn't work very well, so they went to the bolt addition. I've had several early cranks drilled and tapped for the bolt, no biggie. If GM went that route, then it's an easy fix.
