Pop N Wood
The truely amazing thing about that article is not the carb intake (or how easy it is to do), but the fact that they got over 500 HP on a crate engine with nothing more than a cam and valve spring upgrade. And it is a GM cam kit too! Really makes me rethink the whole LT1-is-cheaper idea.
fl327
I saw that too and I like the packaging and how they address the coil on plug configuration. There are cheap Ls1s to be had out there, ones with the efi harnesses chopped up, missing sensors, etc. How much is that setup anyway? fl327
shoulda known that. 699.95, not bad considering all the functions that little box has to perform.
jt1
Interesting. Like Pop, I'm pretty amazed at 500 hp with a cam and springs. Also surprised the carb was about equal to the EFI. How much lighter is a LS-1 than a LT-1 or 1st gen? John
Guest A2Z
ls1's have about 100 pounds on lt1's. they weigh in at 390-400 lbs iirc.
