rustrocket
Are these cars a joke?!? or is this a common practice that i'm not aware of? http://tanetane92.web.infoseek.co.jp/20050116tas2.html Scroll down the linked page for some really gnarly pics. here's a couple examples: NOW THIS IS A WING! DavyZ
All the Z needs is a slight trim of the pipes... Some of the cars are actually cool, but nearly all of them appear to be lawsuits waiting to happen. Can you imagine a 4 to 5 foot long 'airdam' protruding from the front of your car? At a crosswalk, people may just walk right over it! Davy
Guest Battle Pope
This is actually a kind of novelty styling that is very popular there. I don't remember what it's called. The "exhaust tips" are actually removable, and they only bolt them on when they are showing them off. There are clubs that do this all over Japan. Most of them use older cars though (80s). EDIT: Bosozoku (apparently)
zguitar71
They look like living cartoons. When I first saw pictures of cars in Japan like that I couldn't get used too it but now I like the weirdness of it all. I would not do that to my car though. It is like the saying I like to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.
slownrusty
The bottom pic of the car with the really big red wing is the VERY RARE Datsun 300C Cedric Coupe Pillarless model...that bad boy is worth some bank! Yasin
Dan Juday
Ah, running boards, cow catchers, and the way-cool grill-protruding oil cooler lines! Do you think our American hod rods look silly to the Japanese?
fl327
Do they get more points depending on how dangerously dangling the oil cooler lines are??? geezzz
