akeizm
Hi all, I've been setting up my Msns-extra with version 21u and I am trying to get my tps setup. Now I go in and use the tools to calibrate it but something isn't right. I leave the foot off the pedal and click to get the closed reading, then I put it flat to the floor (the butterfly is full open) and then get the reading for that. But when I look at the simulator the bar that represents the throttle position is only showing the tps to be anywhere between 20% and 80% (20% when closed and 80% when full open). What could be some of the problems that would cause this? Hopefully this will be the last question I will ask about msns (should run now). Thanks, Marc. sims76
In Megatune, you need to go to TOOLS >> CALIBRATE TPS and then follow the instructions. I have a 60MM TB and have recently found that MAPDOT runs the car much much much smoother. With TPSDOT, bumps on the highway would trigger the accel enrichment. I couldn't find a happy medium with the TPSDOT. *** EDIT *** Just re-read your post and realized you alredy tried calibrating. Give MAPDOT a try. Good luck, -Sims
mobythevan
I have found that you have to exit megatune and re-enter it after calibrating the TPS, then the new settings take affect and it should work correctly. It never works correctly for me after calibration until I exit and re-start megatune. let us know if that works
Forrest
I asked about this on MS forums last year and as I understand it, what the TPS gauge has nothing to do with the voltage values MS looks for. If you have a problem with MS's actual behavior you will have to physically calibrate the TPS by repositioning it and checking with a volt meter.
