Here comes trouble
I would seriously consider setting up some surveilance cameras in the work area. Study thier habits and catch one of them. Just imagine what they could perform under adult supervision. I just want to get rid of mine since they seem to tear everything up.
Guest JAMIE T
That does look like they did a nice job on it. I'm trying to figure out how I'm gonna get 4" under mine...

jeromio
To answer the questions you pose on that page: That "counterbalance" is not actually home-made. It's a stock piece. Also, that crappy-*** diff mount that failed? Yeah, that's the stock design. Made to last at least 6 months. Well, maybe 3.

The welds are pretty crappy, and the smaller pieces look like they were cut out with a grinder. It does not resemble any OEM part I have ever seen. However, since mine is the only Z I have ever been under, I guess it is possible. Rufus

It's to dampen the resonant humming in the differential. And the ones from both my 77 and 78 are under 8lbs. It feels heavier than it is. Dan Juday
That's so cool! A similar thing happed to me. I was driving my Z around the other day and I thought to myself, "Gee, I sure would be great to install a V8 in this baby". I got home and popped the hood and look what I found!!! Sparks280zt
Dan I have always been curious to why you only put a 305 in your Z?
