preith
I wasn't there to see it, but it doesn't look pretty. Talk about an expensive pile up. Apparently someone missed a shift at the start. The word is no serious injuries. http://www.pbase.com/atrltd/bric2005

preith
Just a little more info. The red Vette, #21, is a Yard Racing car. I worked with them at that track a few years ago. There is a black Vette with red striping on top in another photo that also theirs. Earlier this spring, they lost a low serial # (something like #36) Shelby Mustang in a real bad reck. I think the driver may still be healing from that one. I have to wonder if they'll decide to hang it up after this.
johnc
So, Vintage Racing is safer and easier on your car then regular wheel to wheel racing with SCCA/NASA...
preith
Yeah, you have to wonder sometimes... Here's some more info from another forum. Trecani
Ouch... What a shame. That orange mustang looks like an original BOSS 429 with the grabber orange paint
srgunz
I was there Saturday and Sunday. Had a great time. Five 240Z race cars were entered. I go to all the vintage races there and a multi car crash is actually very rare. Happened on front straight just as starter was dropping the green. I know the guy with the orange boss 302 involved. He owns 3 of them all identical except for the numbers on the door. The 289 cobra was an origional. Ouch!
