I finally snapped some pictures of my seat bracket, this is very similar to the bracket that Sparco sells (or used to sell) to adapt the seat to the Gen1 Z cars. You could do the same thing with flat steel, and if you were worried about strength, you could build it out of rectangular tubing. I find though that this is perfectly adequate...thus far! as the description in the photos state though, I would reconsider the Nylon spacers and go with alum or steel.

ordered my fuel system parts that were needed.

 

Russells 25 feet of Twist-Lok -8AN fuel line

Russells Twist-Lok fittings out the ***!!! man there pricey.

Russells two comp -8AN fuel filters

Walbro 255lpr -8AN fuel fittings (2)

 

should finish the fuel system 100% now..

 

also got:

 

Autometer Comp EGT probe kit

Autometer Phantom 2 5/8 elec Oil Pressure Gauge (DONE WITH MY GAUGES YESSS!)

Nissan Comp Metal Headgasket

 

Struts are next, as well as anything else i can afford and get in time for the SEZ event...

 

looking for a fuse block now and i gotta re-wire the whole car.

i have a good friend in oregon so one day soon i hope to drive there..

we have a bet.. me and my Z VS him and his intergra..

 

my goal on this site is to meet up with as many members on this site as i can.

soon i hope to go to the MSA show with my Z's, and etc.

today i ordered my struts!

also got all my parts powdercoated by Dead Roman on this forum... they came out great!

 

cleaned my speakers im putting in the car, check them to see if there still good.

also re-ported my intake some more.

 

still gotta finish my exhaust manifold but im gonna heat wrap it too.

 

still need to do the exhaust, and fuel cell install..

so i dunno how im gonna get that all done.

Update!!!

 

- Install fuel cell and fuel pump

- Install 280zx front brakes and redo rear drums

- Hope that the hydraulic lifters in the head all hold pressure

- Sell 3.9 diff and install 3.36 diff

- Recharge a/c system

- Hope the a/c system holds a charge

- Register, Inspect, and get insurance on car

- And drive and then repeat intill car is deamed half-way reliable:twak:

- Paint the car without any runs or orange peel:twisted:

- Drive to SEZ without broken car parts

 

Oh and find out why its not getting spark... Looks like i'm almost ready. I think.

almost finished my fmic polish job.

 

found 3 more things that need to be powdercoated.

i got most of the gasket mating surfaces on the powdercoated parts all scuffed up and ready for install.

re ported and polished my intake manifold.

got my headlights ready for install...

started polishing my lip on my wheels..

 

i hope to be done with all the detail work by the end of this week.

 

im running out of cash so i gotta see what i really need and what i dont.

i need to finish setting up sensors on the engine, set up fuel injectors & rail..

 

and i can't put the damn motor back in untill victoria british sends me the proper parts since they jacked up my motor the 1st go round.

got the fmic all done and pretty.

polished the lips on my wheels, now debating weither or not to paint my center of my wheels black again or gun-metal to match my cars stripe.... hmm

 

got the bov on the piping, got the downpipe bolts off the damn turbo, was sooo stuck.

got the fuse block and wires so i can start that when the car gets to the shop.

new thermoster is on order, along with wheel bearings and front pads.

struts should be here any day now!

tranny was powerwashed and cleaned nicely.

block was started to be painted, will finish this weekend.

 

gotta get carpet and other crap tomorrow i hope.

i have a spare set of performance NGK wires, **** carpet, if need be i have enough 3" piping that i can make myself run open downpipe if you need exhaust, rotors and pads were in the same boat on, and you can always ghetto install your cell like another houstonian Z member we know :eek3:

Hey its not too ghetto. Its solid. Protects the cell from any and all road debris. And in a week or two it will be sealed from fumes. Oh yeah one more thing who's z is running. Yeah thats right mine.

...need to install 60mm TB, finish radiator install, install surge tank and additional fuel pumps, mount new tires (today), wire in gauges, and get her inspected. sunday afternoon will be the first drive!

still waiting for standalone.

fuelpumps.net messed up my order and only sent 1 fuel pump fitting.. not 2.

struts still arent here.

wheel bearings and front brake parts are on there way.

thermo-switch is on its way.

all wire and relays are bought.. i think anyways.

 

drag radials might be bought, gotta figure out that.

this weekend ill be getting a extra set of half-shafts for the trip .

GReddy profec B bracket was made today.

 

Tomorrow:

maybe finish porting exhaust manifold.

drill hole for EGT probe.

port turbo.

get the downpipe off the turbo and replace the studs and bolts.

order some exhaust piping.

order led's for gauges.

and.... pray to God for help.

fuel rail is finished.

standalone and other parts should be here next week.

LM-1 tested, works great!

got a 3inch electric cutout

engine is on stand and waiting for headgasket so everything can be put together.

 

still waiting on struts, fuel pump fitting, thermo-switch, fuel cell metal, carpet, and other stuff.

Thanks to mike and ted, tonight we got all of my suspension assembled, tommorow i'll go to put them back on the car after i figure out my sway bar kit.

 

That should allow me to put the car back on the ground to see how she'll sit, from there it's all motor work and megasquirt.

 

It's so daunting to see all the little parts all over the garage, but with alot of those little parts being my suspension, buttoning that back up under the car will make it feel a heck of alot closer to completion i imagine.

 

Also Ted, Mike, and Myself have started plans on how to get ourselves sponsor paid for SEZ (lol sorta), hopefully the cash will start rolling in so all 3 of us can stop being so damn broke trying to prep for SEZ in time.

 

BTW... fuel guru's please see my thread in the fuel delivery section of the forum.

exhaust manifold is 99.9% done.

fuel rail with 370cc's are on the intake manifold.

 

time is running out.. so is money
