RB26powered74zcar Posted August 3, 2005 Share Posted August 3, 2005 I saw a pic of one that had been removed w/o cutting it out, and wanted to hear from anybody that has done this. I guess its spot welded in, but I need to know how to access the welds. I don't see them from looking at it from the top side (inside the car). Vintage-TechZ Posted August 3, 2005 Share Posted August 3, 2005 Joel, They ARE spotwelded .........run some Scotchbrite ( wrapped to something flat) around the upper deck surface around the tub lip and they should begin to apear. Drill down into them slowly and in about a 30-45 minute time ....you should be able to run a putty knife blade between the seamseal and drop her out. Or just use a cut-off or Sawzall like Aux did !
