SR240Z
first thing in this situation is to check all vacuum lines for no leaks
JMortensen
Hunting idle can also be caused by a dirty throttle body. If it doesn't have any vacuum leaks pull the boot off the throttle body, open it up and clean the area where the butterfly closes with carb cleaner. Guest bastaad525
Hey I can't say specifically for the SR20DET, but I know from owning an SR20 N/A powered Sentra ('91 SE-R) and much hanging out on the forums over at SE-R.net that idling problems are VERY common on SR20's. I know mine has had some issues too. Again, I dont know how much of this pertains to the turbo version, but if you're interested, there is a LOT of info on idling problems on N/A SR's over at SE-R.net. FR Javier
a DE or DET motor that is running off the the stock ecu is very sensitive to vac leaks since its a MAF based system. this thread on the sr20forum should point you in the right direction...uses the FSM trouble shooting guide basically. http://www.sr20forum.com/showthread.php?t=38146
