johnc
I've been doing a bunch of Hybrid swaps (20B into a 3rd gen RX7, SR20DET into a 510 and a 240Z, 13B single turbo into a RX8, etc.) so I got tired of hanging the engine from my forklift and trying to get everything aligned correctly. Today I made two adjustable engine supports that sit on the outer edge of the hood opening and hang the engine and trans in the engine compartment. This in conjunction with my lift should make things a lot easier.
Cody 82 ZXT
I've sold a couple of these things latley. Seems like the guys that need them never figure it out until the last minute. Guys that use them swear by them.
260DET
Neat idea, with the threaded rods I guess that small adjustments as to position would be easy.
Drax240z
I'll remember that one for my next swap. Very slick.
johnc
Neat idea, with the threaded rods I guess that small adjustments as to position would be easy. That's the idea. The engine is hanging from the eyes on chain while the car is up on a lift so I can squat under it and check the digital protractor and then make small adjustments to get the numbers right. Side to side adjustments are done tapping the sliders. Fore aft adjustments are done by lifting the each corner and walking it.
