rudypoochris
Here is the pictures: the stops look a little too close to the gland nut (especially seeing that there is no weight on the suspension yet), what do you guys think, insufficent travel? Also those are tokico illuminas, thanks
johnc
There's no way of knowing until you get the car completed, put it on the ground, and set the ride height. For a street driven car you'll want at least 3" of bump travel at static ride height before the bump stop contacts the gland nut.
Hypertek
try compressing the suspension with a jack to get an idea how much travel you have.
Guest nitr0
If those are 50mm / 2 inch bumpstops you have heaps of travel and i have about the same on my car and it doesnt bottom out, even when i accidently miss speed bumps. rudypoochris
they are fromt he msa kit. I think prothane makes them. Tokico advise shortening the (stock) bumpstops by cutting them down when you install illuminas. At 2200lbs curb you guys think 3" travel is fine w/ 200F and 225R lb/in springs? auxilary
i'd say 2400lb curb. you can trim .5 inches off, but like john said, you can't tell until you drive it hard. if you feel the car jounce a little on a turn and the body bounces back up, trim the bump stop
