383 240z
The Difference Between The Liberal and Conservative "Debate" Over The War on Terrorism: Question: You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge hunting knife comes around the corner and is running at you while screaming obscenities. In your hand is a Glock .40, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do? ___________________________________________________________ Liberal Answer: Well, that's just not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that is inspiring him to attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he just be content to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for a few days to try to come to a conclusion. __________________________________________________________ Conservative Answer: BANG! __________________________________________________________ Conservative Texan's Answer: BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Click. Wife: "Sweetheart, he looks like he's still moving!" (sounds of clip being ejected and fresh clip installed) Son: "Mom's right Dad, I saw it too..." BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Daughter: "Nice grouping, Daddy!" Heavy Z
Hmm...based on that logic, former US Gulf War commander Norman Schwarzkopf must also be a liberal coward, since he's saying we should cool our heels too. Read his interview from tuesday: Washington Post article 1/28 This man's opinions should be listened to, especially considering his experiences in combating Iraq. And I'll bet he'd grab the knife, put it in his belt, and walk off with it... As payment for his troubles, and all dem bullets.
Guest zfan
I received that same email and loved it. Mike
Guest Aaron
You forgot the Conservative Alabamian's answer: After unloading the second clip, you borrow the wife's gun.
JKDGabe
Actually I don't know anyone who considers stormin Norman a liberal. There is a serious debate about how much threat Iraq poses to us. No one who knows me would say I'm a liberal but I'm very much unconvinced that we need to go to war. Yes, the email was great!
Phantom
Actually - this debate is very similar to the debates that were happening back in the late 30's about Hitler. Look what inaction got Europe and later - us.
Pop N Wood
Schwarzkopf didn't say we should cool our heels. He said: I don't know what intelligence the U.S. government has. And before I can just stand up and say, 'Beyond a shadow of a doubt, we need to invade Iraq,' I guess I would like to have better information. Huge difference. As bad as a gulf war II will be, it will be beyond imagination if we wait until the area goes nuclear.
PETEW
My fellow workers and I have been having this dabate for the past couple of days. The first thing I say to them is "Do you remeber what happened on 9/11". That usually ends the arguing. You have to rember folks, these people don't think like we do. They have different priorities, religions, etc. Allowing them the chance or opportunity to acquire more weaponry, be it chemical or nuclear would just be a mistake. I don't want our guys fighting over there, but I would rather it happen now and stop this mad man before it escalades into something worse. Guest John Adkins
Iraq doesn't scare me as much as North Korea. North Korea definitely has nuclear capability and has threatened us. Saddam talks big but I doubt he would attack us since it might jeopardize his cushy "kingdom" (multiple palaces, luxuries, women, etc.) I think he's trying to play media to get the world on his side and make the U.S. look like a bully. Guest Anonymous
I think we should just boycot all of the OPEC oil and buy ours from Venezula. They have more of it and its cheaper. The US recieves something like 85% of the arab oil(correct me if I am worng). That would essensially stop the money going to the middle east and all the other OPEC nations would start screaming at Iraq or force a resolution. But I think we should stop buying OPEC oil anyway on general principals.
