2003z
Bet its gonna be pricey though! http://www.mallettcars.com/solstice-conversion.htm
tfreer85
That is real cool, I always wondered why the used the small engine with the Solstice. but like you said PRICEY, just for the initial cost of a hybrid. Tyson
BrandonsZ
they say "coming soon" tremec 6-speed. What do they use for this car then, IS there any other choice for tranny? Come on! IMO
280Zone
I just saw those conversions at the SEMA show and the price list was confusing. Roughly $24K for the car $20K for the conversion for a total price of $31K? On the spec sheet I grabbed it listed base option for $18K LS2 6.0L 400hp GM crate engine LS2 clutch modified lowered shocks New springs Corsa mufflers Custom embroidery and name plates Custom serial number documentation Options are 7.0L (427 CID) 550 Hp gen III engine 6.1L (402 CID) 500 Hp Superchargers for 6.1 or 7.0 Mallett Ported Heads High performance clutch Competition brake system 4-core radiator
2003z
at 31k it would be a steal, but they must have screwed that up! Still, might be a good deal at 44 though.

v8dats
wow cool car. i have never even heard of the Solstice. seems like a cool lil car even without the conversion. 2.4 ecotec engine and its a RWD! and the base price isnt so bad either. i like it better than the miata and the s2000. 280Zone
After seeing it in person and sitting (tried) in the car it does seem like a reasonable price, either in stock configuration or the modified. However if you are over 6'5" tall forget it.
Sparks280zt
what type of rear end does the Solstice have?
DavD3
Looks great, i wonder if they do the same with coupe when it will hits to showroom next year or so.But the price is too high. With options and fees it will hit mid 40s, considering that you can get C5 Z06 for less i don't know if you can call it a bargain. I red somewhere that later Pontiac has plans for turbo L4 engine in it, that might beinteresting.
280Zone
The converted cars (2 that I saw) were both rag tops but htey did have a hardtop version there. The hard top looks to be removable, so i am not sure if there is a coupe (non-removable top) version. Next year?... I have already seen one of these on the road with new temporary plates so i thought they were already available..

280Zone
The Saturn version was also there and IMO looks better than the Solsitce.
