rudypoochris
I was looking under the explorer today and i knew that the tranny used a hydraulic clutch, i just never thought of it in terms of my 302 HO swap into the datsun. Is it possible to use this: http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDetail.aspx?mfrcode=RAY&mfrpartnumber=SC37897&parttype=236&ptset=A slave cylinder/hydraulic T/O in my 240z? I will be using a 94 mustang 302 with a mustang t-5. Probably wont work but if it does there is a nice cheap ($85) hydraulic t/0. Blueovalz can you chime in
Gollum
You know who would know? Tremec. They supplied the T-5 and they're usually really good about answering emails. They'll probly tell you exactly what you need to convert the tranny over to a hydrolic clutch. Have you ever driven a mustang with a heavy clutch? Ouch in traffic, that's for sure. http://www.ttcautomotive.com/English/products/T-5.asp

Not sure about the one in the explorer, where is the part number location, it is up near the shifter on the passenger side huh (can't get up there right now the cats are hot). rudypoochris
Just found out the explorer tranny is a mazda r-1 code "M" with a hydraulic clutch. I think it is ment to have a 10 7/8" OD clutch with a 23 spline imput shaft, tell me what you guys gather from this data, here is the link: http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/pdf_documents/ToyoKoygoMazda.pdf
blueovalz
An important dimension in this part is the ID of the unit as it has to slip over the input shaft housing tube. So, it has to be at least as large as the OD of the housing tube.
