AK-Z
To illaberate on the question. I read the sticky on diffs already and was just wondering whether or not lets say a subaru lsd will fit in a nissan diff?

JMortensen
The parent company for Subaru is the company that makes all of the Nissan diffs, Fuji Heavy Industries IIRC. They make all of the R160's, R180's, R200's, R230's etc. So I would think the answer would be yes, but the one question I have is what Subaru comes with the donor R200 LSD? You can bolt in their R160 LSD in a 240 I believe, and I know it bolts into a 510 cause I have a couple friends running them. My Outback wagon had a R160 in the back, the WRX has an R180. Don't know of any Subaru that has an R200 though...
AK-Z
Ok thanks. I have a r180 also. You guys think that the r180 diff case would be strong enought for let stay 400 hp /400 lbs. applicaton ( over estimating just to be safe). Corzette
I used to go thru R180s like cake when I was running them. back in the 80s I had an L28 with Mikunis and headers etc and 5 speed. Probably 200 HP at best and broke them pretty regularly, so I would say dont do it unless you have another swap out soon... Terry
