Guest greimann
The sad fact is they are a product of our own shamefully lame drivers education system. That and too many viewings of the "Fast and Spurious", that leads them to believe that driving wild in traffic = skilled driving.

Ah, never do I remember anything about that kind of passing on the shoulder in any basic driver's ed. That cannot be blamed on anything except his own folly. I would go so far as to blame his parents for not bringing up their son to respect the public safety and even his own life, before blaming U.S. driver's education. I do, however, still blame The Fast and the Furious for everything else Davy
Guest Thurem
Hmmmm. Think of it as a racetrack, if there is room and it is paved, go for it. I used to do the same thing all the time riding my bike to work during Phoenix rushhour traffic. How about doing a ton in the E-lane, on a bike. I'm not saying that I think it is cool, but it sure got your heart going. It's all in the risk versus reward equation: ie. death or hard time versus getting where you are going a few minutes sooner. Mikelly
OK, Here we go again... We are an age of advanced people with CELL PHONES... Get his tag and CALL IT IN 911. When I see something that is just WAY over the top, I CALL IT IN... Say a guy doing wheelies at 90 in traffic around LOTS of cars and a SCHOOL BUS earlier this year... Guy almost dropped it twice... So I called it in and then sat back and watched them pop him... Same goes for ME if I get caught in the most inapproriate of spots doing some dumbassed moved...CALL ME IN! OK, I'm done... Gee, that felt better... Mike
Phantom
Hey Davy - I've got a copy of "Fast & Furious". Let you have it for a really good brother-in-law deal. I can tell it must be one of your favorites.
Lockjaw
That movie pissed me off if not for any other reason than the mispronunciation of NOS. Last time I checked it wasnt' NAUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe I should have added a W in there too. Well Mike I like your idea, except the last time I called the cops from my vehicle it was about the little escort vehicle that goes with the trucks pulling mobile homes, and how they cut people off and hog up the whole interstate. The cops were like, do you want to sign a warrant? I said, no what I want is for you to get out here and do your job. As you can imagine, that went over well. The second time I called, they asked me if the guy had an escort vehicle. I said yes. He says, as long as he has an escort vehicle he is ok. So I was like, so what you are saying is as long as I have an escort vehicle I can do whatever I want? And hung up. See they let crap like that go, but if I go down to the "nationals" here in town, they have a problem with that and make me leave. It obvious by looking at me I am not some young little wet behind the ears kid, but they don't care. That makes me a little ill, which is generally why I have nothing but utter contempt for most police officers. Yes I am sure there are good one's out there, but the selectiveness of what they do is BS. Besides, why should we be letting someone tow a 16 foot wide mobile home down the road during the morning commute? The thing is wider than the freakin' lane he is using. With my old 95 chev truck with a 305, I could not get past them in time to keep from getting stuck, but my 2000 Silverado 5.3 handles them nicely. Of course I usually bump the speed limiter when I pass them. I really like it when the little ricers tailgate my truck in an effort to get me to change lanes. I figure if they think 2500 pounds of honda is going to intimidate my 4600 pounds of truck, they got another thing coming. Have some fun with them and get in the left lane in front of them, and then don't move over for them.
Guest Anonymous
hehe, most of those kids dont even know how to race! do you see the WAY they pass other cars? my god, they swerve the wheel as hard as they can, then swerve it back. thats the first no-no of track driving! ive challenged guys to go to racetracks with me, and i get about a 20 second lead on em by the end of the autocross course. most or all were hondas or acuras with alot of hp. many of them have spun out, and some have screwed up the sides of their cars in the hay! the funny thing is, i was driving a 4000 lb mercedes v8 at the time! they know nothing about an apex, or basic physics for that matter.
