Tim240z
One just pulled up and parked in front of my house on the street. Never been a big Maserati fan, but this thing is damned fine. Interior is spacious and looks more refined than anything else I have seen from Europe...... More stunning up close than it is in pictures or running down the road!! CruxGNZ
They are very cool cars. A friend of mine had a 1 of 2 ever made Maserati Quattroporte (insert name I can't remember). It was built for some Sultan of Brunei (sp?) or something like that. How would you like to be working around a vehicle that there is only one other in the world of? Man, I didn't even let my clothes touch it as I walked by. What's kind of funny is my Dad was working on ripping off some fascia above his split level right above his garage and I guess the pounding on the roof made the mounting of a fluorescent light break away from the ceiling inside the garage and the light fell right onto the trunk of the Maserati. It was a very odd moment for everyone involved.
David K
I spent almost an hour looking at one brought by the dealer to the belmont shore car show 2 years ago. All aluminum dry sump v8 cranking out 400hp, total swap candidate...if you can find a crashed one.
Mikelly
There's a guy in North Carolina that runs with all the local car groups associated with corvette clubs and pretty much does the same track events Mark I., JohnT, and I do. His nickname on Corvette Forum was MaseratiRob until he sold his Maserati Quattroporte to finance a fully prepped Mazda RX8 Racecar. He also has a couple of Ferraris, a 360 Modena Spider and a 430 Coupe. He now goes by MazdaRob! Super nice guy and he offered to let me drive his 360Modena the weekend I blew the Vette up... With the luck I was having with the bad spin and then the blown motor, I politely declined. He said the brake pad and rotor replacement every couple of track weekends was running him over $800 per pair for the front. Mike

boodlefoof
Nice car! I am pretty fond of the old Ghibli (late 60s/early 70s era) myself. When you chop the top and rake back the windshielf of a Z, they have a pretty similar profile. The Ghibli... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Ghibli_I.jpg The Chopped-Top Z http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=101672&highlight=chop+top
