Can anyone that knows help me out with this. I'm thinking on buying this Cusco LSD on consignment from a seller that really knows nothing about it other than its for a Z33, and its the "MZ" model diff.

Anyone studied up on these diffs enough to know if it will fit/work in a R200 long nose app.?

Here is the pic.

Here is some info: http://www.maz-sport.com/cusco/lsd.htm#types_rs_mz

http://www.jscspeed.com/wrx/wrx_base.html?/wrx/clutch/cusco_lsd.htm

It looks like it is available in 1 and 1.5 way versions. I wouldn't get a 1 way. If the person selling it rotated it so that you could see the pin and the housing you could tell what it is.

Not sure what diff the Z33's use, but if it is a short nose R200 you should be able to make it work.

It really is a superior LSD to the Nissan clutch style. It has more clutches that are each larger and stronger than the Nissan ones. Well worth the hassle of getting it to work at that price. New they're closer to $1000.

You might want to check and see if you can find if the part # crosses over to the 240SX stuff. The non VLSD 240SX Cusco will plug into the long nose R200 and the regular old R200 side stub shafts fit right in IIRC. The 240SX VLSD replacement has a different spline count on the stubs.

although the catalog claims the Z33 as an R200, it's actually different than the R200s we know and love.

we were looking for a spool for the Z33, but found that the R200 for the 240SX/GTR would not work.

When i talked to nissan NA about this, we were told that the one in the Z33 is actually an R205 or something gay like that.

stick w/ a diff that is mdesigned for that pumpkin. sometimes the stub axles' diameter can be different on certain models.
