300zxRB26 Posted January 13, 2006 Share Posted January 13, 2006 ok guys. i failed emissions for NOx i was 1000 over on NOx:mad:. I have a 1988 300zx turbo. I cleaned the egr valve and got all the crud out of that. Brad-ManQ45 Posted January 13, 2006 Share Posted January 13, 2006 A coup[le of cans of 'drying' additive will add alcohol to the gas, lpowering combustion temperatures. More than likely it was the egr not functioning, but if you were running lean, you would have elevated oxides of nitrogen too. What did the Hydrocarbon readings look like?
