Guest zfan
I have a 240Z that Iam looking at converting to a coil over set up. One of the main reasons I would like to do the swap is inner clearances. I have heard that you can gain up to 3/4" of backspace/clearance by converting to the coil over set up. Does anyone know for sure and is there an exact number gained thru the swap? If I could gain 3/4" and roll my fender lips (1/2") that would free up alot of room and that means a helluva lot more tire would fit underneath. Mikelly
Mike, Between rolling the lip and doing the coil over conversion, you can gain easily 3/4 inch and maybe more. I've done both on my car and I'm running 255-40-17s under the real with zero tire sticking out past the inner fender liner. Mike

Clifton
I know you can squeeze a 275 in the rear, I did. You'll have to run an 8" spring to do it though.
