zane9000
Im looking for a good place to buy some 3" hose so I can route the air coming off my supercharger to my intake manifold. I dont really want to go with one of the "Universal" intercooler pipe kits as I dont exactly know how I am going to be routing it through the engine bay yet. I looked on MSA and VB with no luck. Any thoughts?
evildky
3" silicone hose isn't very flexible, I suggest you buy some mandrel bends and some couplers and start fitting
Jolane
Here is a source for metal bends. They carry aluminum also, which would be lighter than the steel versions... http://www.roadraceengineering.com/mandrelbends.htm And silicon versions... http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/misc_intakexh.html Joshua
Guest 73TPIZ
I don't run a boosted setup, but i'd thought of getting one of those cold air intake systems from off of ebay for my car and cut it up to make the bends and straights run how i want them. You could take a system like this (or 2 of 'em), get some more collars and a hacksaw and run it how you want. 45 bucks shipped ain't bad since most places want 20-30 bucks for an aluminum bend. Dayz
The cheapest way to go for piping is your truck parts store!!! Those truck intercoolers are pretty much all 3", I believe I paid 10$ per feet of silicone hose..It was written Caterpillar in Yellow ...Lol
Cody 82 ZXT
You need to run 3" pipe with some quality 3" silicone couplers and good t-bolt clamps. Trust me it's the only way to go.
zane9000
Thanks guys, I was wanting to just get some felxable rubber hose as a temporary hookup, but I guess it would just be better to do it the right way the first time... Cody 82 ZXT
For a temp. solution you can use hose that is used to connect gas tanks to filler necks. This can be found a Napa or a Big Rig place.
