Wheeler
I am installing a turbo l28et in my 280z (75') and got to thinking... with a turbo the intake manifild has pressure and not vacuum so does a booster even do anything or does the intake immediatly return to vacuum when you lift off the gas to hit the brakes? I want a firm pedal but not rock hard, but very firm. Can I get rid of the booster and may be, if needed, replace the master with a differremt kind. I know most race cars run without boosters - anyone with a similar setup? Thanks
Clifton
You want a booster. There is vacuum (99% of the time) unless you are making boost.
Pop N Wood
Can't you hook up a vacuum line up stream of the turbo?
Clifton
does the intake immediatly return to vacuum when you lift off the gas to hit the brakes? Thanks Just saw this part. There is a check valve in the line on all cars. It will hold the vacuum in the booster while the manifold is under boost.
