Alright, were going to do a raffle for the longblock that is in the Pinks car.

 

We've decided to do this as such, we will sell tickets @ $26 per ticket, that way it should be w/ in everyones budget to a degree. We must sell a minimum of 275 tickets. We'll cap sales at 350 tickets or 5 days after the 275 mark has been broken, whichever occurs 1st.

 

The longblock up for raffle will be:

Head:

P90 head

Rusch motorsports P&P

Rusch motorsports 3 angle valvejob

All ports cleaned/repaired on all threads

New valvestem seals

Isky Cam

Isky valvetrain

 

Block:

F54/P90 purchase

AZ Car forged pistons

ARP Head Studs

ARP Main Studs

ARP Rod Bolts

Toga HV oilpump

HKS 2MM headgasket

Clevitte 77 bearings through out

All new freeze plugs

Ceramic coatings by PolyDyn

Cryotreatment 240z rods

Polished 240z rods

Anti-friction coatings by PolyDyn

Machine work to go .040 for the AZC pistons

Machine work for balancing/blueprint of entire rotating assembly

Machine work for assembly of shortblock

New timing kit

New water pump

Gasketing through out

New front and rear mains

 

7.79:1 CR motor, so silly amounts of boost, forged parts, coatings, and a lightened/balanced assembly. Fast and strong...

 

 

 

 

That being said, i want it to be abundantly clear in how this will work, this is a raffle for the complete longblock from valve cover to oil pan out of the Pinks car engine bay. In this raffle you will be bidding on the motor we raced in the actual car.

 

If you purchase a ticket, and are the winner of the raffle, you would be asked not to publish anything about it other than on HybridZ until AFTER the show airs. Meaning if you intend to get on other forums and brag about having the Pinks motor, put it on ebay, talk about it in a blog, whatever... we'd ask that you wait until the episode has aired.

 

The drawing for the raffle would be done once we have sold the minimum number of tickets and the countdown has expired, or we've sold the max number of tickets, whichever comes first. Tickets would be awarded in numerical order as they are claimed. The winning raffle ticket owner is responsible for the fee's of shipping the longblock to there a place of there choosing.

 

This all having been said, we will begin taking ticket purchases now.

 

If you want to purchase a ticket:

We will be accepting paypal, cash, cashiers check, etc... the sooner your payment, the sooner you have secured a ticket basically.

 

If paying by paypal:

- Include your board name, and what board you are from in the additional information box! Can't keep track of screen names if we don't have yours!

- Include your home address.

 

I will also periodically update this thread reflecting how many tickets are left. Thats about it, good luck, have fun, lets do this!

I don't mean to be a stick in the mud...but what happens if something happens to the motor while racing it on the show...spins a bearing, throws a rod...then the value of the motor is worth??? Cough....

 

Seems like most cars on the show, even the supposedly highly built ones are suffering some type of engine problem by the time the 4th ot 5th pass is run.

But most likely if the motor takes a dump, we'll lose the car, so the engine won't be up for raffle any longer.

the car is going to be flat black, the race is on the 19th (2 weeks), the show would air in 2.5-4 months.

I think they should roll on a coat of flat black...it would be more even than rattlecans...have you finished painting the car yet? if not then I have a tool to donate...

not finished painting it yet.. but the way i do it you dont see any stripes in the paint.
