2003z
I've been running off of a small campbell hausfield for several years now, and its behaved great, but it just can't support my powdercoating business and is extremely loud. I started shopping for an upgrade, thinking I would stay in the 5-700 range, but decided to go whole hog. In the end, its costing me 1285, delivered, but I would rather look back and have too much compressor than not enough. Plus, we decided to be a little wild, and its going to be purple! http://www.eatoncompressor.com/catalog/item/504747/206949.htm

ZR8ED
I know what you mean by "loud" My C.H. is loud as well. I ended up building a small enclosure with some sound deadener to make it more ear friendly..plus it doesn't scare the crap out of me when it suddenly comes on and the garage is dead quiet. No worries of overheating it for me.. its a pretty low use item..for now.. Scott
Cruez
Nice... I was looking at those also to replace mine (the sooner the better). The new shop build comes first though. I have an 80 gallon but its only 11.5 CFM, fine for a normal garage use but not for a powder coating setup... my blasting cabinet alone uses 21 CFM... So go figure the math on that one.. Let me know if you like it..
2003z
Let me know if you like it..will do! btw, the plastic balls on the accelerator linkage held up fine in the oven, but the pc bubbled a little bit on them. I guess without being able to out gas them, there is no way to get 30+ years of grease completely off of them. They came out ok though.
