80LS1T
What lenses are you running a6t8vw? Is the light beam scattered like everyone says it will be with out proper lenses? Basically I want Xenon's but don't really want to shell out $850+ for a real set if I dont have to! LOL Guy
e_racer1999
interesting thread and very informative. if you really want HID and don't want to pay out the ass, you can get projector housings from ebay for around $90 and an HID kit for around $200. BUT it WILL NOT be legal and will be dangerous and blinding to other drivers. almost guarantees a ticket here in sunny CA. IMHO, do it once and do it right. SkYBlue280Z
I have 8k HID's in my 280Z. And yes, the light does spred lol. But you can still see 100% better then with halogen bulbs and it looks very cool. And you need to adjust them so they point towards the road... I mean, all the way lol. Cuz I used to get flashed but not anymore. And im getting my "smoked" covers installed as I type this, so that should tone it down like andrew said. Overall, its a must buy and you wont be disappointed. -Dylan http://www.youtube.com/user/tricofilms
Zerrari GTO
Since I will have headlight covers I am interested in coverting to halogen bulbs for ease in changing them. I want to keep the headlights as "old school" looking as possible so I was thinking of these: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/HTH Is this the converstion that has a lot of wash and is hard to direct the beam? If so, what is a better solution (I don't want projectors). Thanks.
e_racer1999
if you're converting to halogen it shouldn't be a problem. the amount of light scattered in improperly setup HID systems is what is worrysome
