fastzcars
Ya I know it's not a Z but at least it's a nissan. The question I have is the pully/damper bolt a lefty on a 99 maxima? We can't seem to budge it. I hope it's not, otherwise we've been tightening it all this time. Thanks guys.

80LS1T
No its a regular bolt. It should come right out with an impact gun? What are you using to try to take it out?(by the way Im a Nissan Tech, so if you have some more questions just shoot...) Guy

Never done a maxima before but when I remove that bolt from my L28ET, I had to use a wrench that has an extending handle(to 2 ft.), the handle will bend into an arc when so much torque is used that the torque is absorbed by the bending. I had to slip a 4 ft. long square tubing over the wrench handle to prevent it from bending and finally loosen the bolt. Oh the one on my L28et is regular direction, loose = ccw. fastzcars
Thanks guys,That was fast. We are using a electric impact gun, I think it max's out at 225 ft/lbs. I guess I'll have to break out my 4 foot 3/4 in pipe and 1/2 breaker bar to get this thing off.The rubber tore away from the damper portion. So it is CCW. Hey 80LT1 ,how do you pull the damper off the crankshaft? I mean the damper doesn't have ant threaded hole to bolt on my puller for my chevy? Is it a special nissan tool? It's center section looks like s 4 spoke casting. Thanks again guys.
