MAXIMUS
I have an 81 280zx /sbc conversion. It came stock with a 390;1 rear end. What is the difference between posi and limited slip. What should my car have in it. I could sometimes get both tires to spin at launch with my old motor. Now with a sbc in it what should I expect? What should I upgrade to? JMortensen
Positraction is GM's name for limited slip. Your car should have an open diff, no limited slip. It spins both tires sometimes because it's not a live axle. You should expect about the same after the swap. Tons of options for LSDs. Search and you will find many informative posts on the subject. johnc
Search. This has been discussed many times on this site. FYI... Positraction is a brand name for General Motors' clutch pack type of limited slip differential.
