zeiss150
ITS ALIVE!!!!! The gasket worked great. no leaks! The head is working awesome. Much smoother than the N42 with the schnider cam I had in there. That N42 head was just to "lopey". Now I just need to fix the other 200 things wrong with my Z and it'll be perfect! Thanks for the help guys and just in case anyone was wondering ... YES, you can reused a steel head gasket. May the force be with you! zpizzaman20
Sorry to ask such a stupid question, I googled right after I posted. I am installing a metal head gasket in an F54/flattops/N47 that has popped twice at the track. I know nothing of these two products, I will do some research and decide which to use. Thanks! mario_82_ZXT
Are you slapping on a metal gasket on a car that keeps popping head gaskets? Did you fix the underlying issue? If not you're going to end up with broken or melted pistons.
zpizzaman20
I resurfaced the head, it was warped. Looking at the EFI to see if it is leaning out too much.
jacob80
Will somebody please clarify the best way to re-apply the stock Nissan head gasket, or any head gasket that is steel for that matter? Tony, it looks like Hylomar is silicon-based, are you saying smear this stuff on your gasket?
