How to shrink a photo

Hey fella,s how do I shrink a photo to a size that I can post? I was hoping you guys could identify a clutch for me from a photo but the file size is larger than 19.5 kb.

Go to http://www.download.com and type in photo resizer, there is a program I use to reduce picture size for myspace called Irfanview which is really easy to use, and free as well.

If you download it to your gallery here it will automatically resize it. Or use photobucket.

I've always used Microsoft Paintbrush -- just hit ctrl+w, and then type in what percentage you would like to shrink it down to. I've downloaded a resize program before to see if there was any advantage and it was loaded with spam. If it's just something simple that needs to be resized, I don't see why Paintbrush won't do the trick -- it has been for me.

I'm assuming you have windows.

 

download the image resizer. Very easy to use, and there is also a thread somewhere about it.

If you're dramatically shrinking a picture, Photoshop can't be beat for reducing it without causing pixelation. For what you want to do however, use Paint like Zeeboost said. It's free and you already have it on your machine...unless you're one of those Mac guys.
