do ccr style doors if you want them to open differently. last time i tried to find information on how they worked i couldn't find anything, but you can come up with a few ways of how to do it urself, would just be good to know which way they chose!

I think the hinge is like a helix. The door goes out, the back up, and the front down.

Insanely awesome, but complicated.

Attaching fiberglass to any car is difficult to do without it eventually cracking. That is if you're doing a smooth blended look. If you want a bolt on application and aren't worried about lines I would look at connecting with a weather strip between the panels to keep the glas from cracking when you hit a bump or something.

yeah i'd say its a helix too, but where do they have the gas strut thing positioned to push it out? down the middle is the easiest place i can think of...but yeah complicated huh? i wonder if they will ever bring out rice kits to do it!

Maseratis have regular doors any way.

That's why I don't like it, either.

I saw a CCR at an autoshow once, I got a pretty good look at the doors. I wish I had had my camera with me at the time, they could have been useful... :-(

Although the pics are a little small, I really like your ideas, except the lambo/rice doors. If your ideas work out and look nice, make sure to keep the molds, as other members here may be interested in a kit.

Anyway, good luck! Make sure to post pics of your progress.

ok i have been working when i can on this car but here is where i am at so far

this is the start

http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=10&imgid=162256179

i decided to start by shaving the rain rails(it won't be in the rain any way)

http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=10&imgid=162256239

next to get an idea on what i want(draw guidelines)

http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=10&imgid=162256183

then make ribs out of styrofoam(not as ez as it looks took alot of time)

http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=10&imgid=162256187

then i taped up the ribs(get tape as tight as possible)

http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=10&imgid=160296187

i then filled the ribs in with drywall filler(yes drywall i sugest u not do this it takes to long to dry)

http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=10&imgid=162256194

i moved on to the front bumper

taped up styrofoam to get strong base for the clay

http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=10&imgid=162256222

i needed a reference to start make the bumper(puting in eyecandy)

http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=10&imgid=162256210

i taped up a paper grille just for refrence then started putting on the clay

http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=10&imgid=162256265

i spent alot of time shaping clay(it looks pritty)

http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=10&imgid=162256258

and that is where i'm at but here is some eye candy for yah
