Guest ON3GO
It would be nice to have a sticky or so of abunch of Links to companys that provide parts for the L Series Blocks.. Like Custom pistons, rods, cams, bearnings, manifolds, etc etc with part numbers and such. Would help with the searching and it might very well turn into a FAQ type deal. What you think guys.. ill start digging threw my notes for my L stuff... Mike
OlderThanMe
and info on the forged corvair piston swap would be very nice to have. heard about it from the brother of an old imsa Z car racer. he said it was like half the price of a regular Z forged piston. You just had to do shimming or something.
Phyxius
and info on the forged corvair piston swap would be very nice to have.heard about it from the brother of an old imsa Z car racer. he said it was like half the price of a regular Z forged piston. You just had to do shimming or something. The story with that is that you have to offset bush the rod ends because the corvair pin is smaller and the compression height is too large. Some have suggested that the pin is too small for any serious performance motor.

BayAreaZT
What I always wanted but never got around to making is a speadsheet with every part listed broken down in sections like engine, body, suspension, etc. Under each part you can list factory part number, all vendors selling the part, vendor part number, price, hyperlinks, etc. Maybe someone can make a template and everyone fill in what they can.
