JaysZ
i tried to push these in and the brass bushings ended up getting bent out of shape... i believe I have a stick from a '77. any ideas? should i try to do the freeze + heat method?
mario_82_ZXT
Are you sure you got the right ones? I had to lightly sand mine and with a little peice of wood and a hammer they went right in. Mario
JMortensen
What's wrong with the Nissan plastic bushings? They're still available last I checked, they cost about $6, and they last for 20 years...
mario_82_ZXT
These cost ~$3 and they are a lot tighter then even new Nissan bushings. These should last more then 20 years haha. Mario
JMortensen
Can't argue with that logic. I thought they were more expensive.
JaysZ
the plastic ones i have are still in good condition, but like Mario said, the metal ones offer a tighter fit and... its metal $2.99 at Autozone the outside diameter is just a tad too big but the inside diameter seems to be spot on. the part # i'm using is # 38377 which is the proper one according to the tutorial i printed. i may end up just sanding out the outside ring a bit and work it in there. i'll need to order more, the last one i tried to bang in is a little warped now lol
veritech-z
I just made a new one out of a plastic bushing I got from ACE hardware. Cost me $.20, plus a bit of my time to "adjust" the fit. It's super tight, and I haven't had any problems so far.
