mario_82_ZXT
Why is it that twice pipes won't fit 280z's as well/tucked as 240z's?? Do they have another notch in the rear crossmember? Mario
Sparks280zt
my guess is because the tranny tunnel is much larger on a 280z than a 240z
mario_82_ZXT
It seems to be rear crossmember and gas tank differences FYI. Mario
olie05
i'm speaking off the top of my head, but doesn't the rear crossmember on both cars have two notches for the exhaust? (one larger, one smaller?)
buZy
i'm speaking off the top of my head, but doesn't the rear crossmember on both cars have two notches for the exhaust? (one larger, one smaller?) You mean like this? 240 shown
mario_82_ZXT
I don't think the 280z's have that. Does anyone know if that part is easily interchangeable? There is a 240z in the junkyard I could take it from. Mario
JMortensen
They both have the same shape. There was a thread about a year ago that compared the 2 next to each other. I seem to recall the 280 part being a little beefier. If you really want duals you could always do the same thing Terry did and get two and cut them in half and weld them back together so that you have 2 bigger recesses for the exhaust. http://www.fototime.com/%7B1CCBB0CD-BB0A-44EA-AC10-DE6C57AFD697%7D/picture.JPG
