Guest demoreel
Hey, im new to owning a Z; and i must say i love it already. That being said...I've heard alot about swapping chevy and ford V8s into various Zs. I don't know much of any details but i am interested in doing something like this. Ive recently found a '94 Police Package Caprice for relatively cheap(under $1000). Would the engine from the Caprice fit into a 1980 280ZX, and if so would it be worth it (in your oppinion)? thanks

Z-8
Thats pretty much what I'm doing. I've got a '95 caprice cop car engine, and a t-56. Those are going into a 1979 280zx. It's going to be fun getting it all smog legal out here in california. I might go on a hunt for those rare places here that don't have smog laws. That would be cool. LS1 240Z
it would mount just like any other SBC, buy the JTR mounts and you are good to go
dr_hunt
Sounds like a good cheap conversion to get you started. Buy the jags that run manual. Google jags that run and go there, alot of info in that book. Also do a search for the 280zx and PM members here on what they did. Keep us posted and remember....
