Its just me and my mom and she dosnt really know anything about cars so this is my resource that i have been using to learn about the v8z and such. i would appericiate links for more information. thanks oh ya cant forget the pics
DavyZ
Luke, Congrats on your new Z car, but you have got to read the forums on this site for your information. This whole site is about the Z car and was (at least initially) dedicated to the (Chevy) V8Z car. Buy the JTR manual (search) and read it cover to cover. Go to Amazon and find some Z books and read those too. Good luck. To do a specific search, go to the dark blue bar near the top of the screen and click "search." Type in one word or two specific words and try different searches. In time you should find what you need. If post asking questions that have been answered a number of times, you'll get a boot to the head, so beware. Good luck! Davy
280Zone
At your age I am going to assume this is also going to be your daily driver so my advice is to start with one thing at a time. The engine looks clean and will hopefully keep you mobile while you plan (and save) for your 400HP beast. Remember some panels are cheaper to replace than paying someone to fix. Looks good and welcome aboard!

HowzDat
Have you ever thought about turboing the l28? you can get to the 400hp range that way and keep it semi reliable. with the v8 swap plan it to be twice as much as you origionally think it will cost you and then add half again with the ls1. Are you going to do all of the work your self? or pay someone else to do it? Not trying to discourage you or anything because v8 z's are the way to go in my opinion its just they get expensive especially an ls1. well good luck with your project. and welcome. Forces
I'm actually going to pick up a 72 240Z in about a week. No motor or trans....1/4 of the work is already done . I would save the interior until later. I have redone interior from top to bottom: headliner, dash, seats, carpet.... the works. I ended up destroying it when I was working on the engine and transmssion from all the grime, oil and grease on my hands. But that was mostly my fault for not being more careful.
