Im such a noob. but pls help

today i got a free 1979 nissan 280z turbo.

they guy was moving and he need it gone so i said hell yes ill take it

only thing is. in the middle of him and his son rebuilding it.

a piston was droped. and cracked. i need a new set.

dunno were to get stock or even low comp. pistons.

not going to do any thing nuts just yet to it.

im kind of working on a 1979 mazda RX7 it had gotten broken into and what not. but id much rather have the nissan. so any help would be awsome!

In 79 it was a 280ZX... but the first 280zx TURBO was intro'd in 81... Was he doing a turbo engine swap????

 

You can get L28 & L28ET pistons from a lot of places.

nice find ..be stoked your one of the lucky one's ...there are alot of things that can be done and there are alot of things that cant.but now you that you own a Zcar you can do anything ..lolololol:icon47:

i want to keep it cheap till im half way threw college.

i want to get it running now. but like i said my other car had gotten broken into

the trased the center consol riping the CDplayer out.

and the ignition was FUBAR! spending about 300 $ now just for a drivers side window and new ignition with keys.

either way i can drive till december 25. i got a really nasty speeding ticket.

i think what im going to do is crank. rods, and go ahead and get some good low comp. pistons. bigger turbo. and all the other things for more boost.

im only noobish to the 280s i had a 240sx back in highschool. but really things for your help. and i totaly for got about blackdragon. thats were i had to ordoer my new ignition switch.... tumbler and key as they called it.
